The Assignment

Research, outline, write, and format an e-book discussing how to apply the principles of the ancient philosophy of Stoicism to modern life.

The Challenge

Educate myself on Stoicism in order to identify the principles that would address the everyday lives of a general audience. In other words, apply very specific ideas to a wide range of situations in order to educate readers about Stoicism and encourage them to adopt the guiding principles.

The Result

Using everything from Sex and the City episodes to advice from child psychologists, I was able to write a book that shows how Epictetus and Marcus Aurelius would have dealt with getting ghosted or passed up for a promotion if they were alive today.
